I had plans of working today, however I slept in until 10:30... it felt good but I was a little embarrassed. Today I was also going to close the pool however the weather looks like it will be in the 80's and it will be sunny all week, so perhaps it can wait for a while before closing.
We had the Titus family and the Connell family. We had planned on swimming from about 4:00 until we got tired however the Connells showed up shortly after noon. Cool!!! I got to go swimming earlier. We called the Titus family and they came a few minutes later. Sadly we were missing both Jeff Titus and John Connell, as they had to work this Labor day.
We ended up swimming until about 3:00 then we bar-b-queued hamburgers and hotdogs. Then the Titus family left and we went swimming again. However it seemed that Sara wasn't done with the water and had to be thrown in a third time. I have included pictures:
Just for the record, this is Marc and Megan (Sara's Sister), the only thing I did was move the cover (for safety) and take pictures (for posterity)
Sadly I didn't think to put my camera into movie mode, so all we get are the stills.
One more thing, hardly worth mentioning... Harry Potter and I have something in common, but mine was caused by self-bungee.
The wind was blowing, so the thermal pool cover, that we wind up on a reel, was flapping. So I used a bungee cord to wrap around the cover on the real to hold down the loose end. When it was time to remove the bungee cord to let the cover unwind I unhooked it one handed while leaning over the pool (I didn't want to get wet). As I held on to one end, the other came around full circle. To put it in Eric's terms: I saw something coming at me, I wasn't sure what it was, but it was getting bigger and bigger... then it hit me.
